John Hadfield & Jon Ifert Retire

April 2022

John Hadfield

After an impressive 46 years of dedicated service, John Hadfield has retired from Schramm. John had an indelible impact on the company and leaves a legacy of hard work and resourcefulness. Throughout his many years with the company, John worked in Assembly, Aftermarket Service, and eventually became Operations Manager at the West Chester facility.

John’s father Robert Hadfield also worked for Schramm, from 1950 until 1992. Amazingly, two of John’s sons also work for Schramm. Justin Hadfield is currently a Warehouse Manager, and Tommy Hadfield is an Aftermarket Service Technician. It’s safe to say that Schramm runs in the Hadfield family.

In retirement, John and his wife, Tracy, plan to travel the country in a luxury camper, sightseeing and visiting friends and family, such as their son Bobby, who lives in Florida. John will be remembered at Schramm for his strong work ethic, problem solving, and commitment to finishing jobs the right way.

John’s sense of humor and knack for storytelling will be deeply missed. He will always be a part of the Schramm family. On behalf of the entire organization, thank you for everything, John, and enjoy your retirement!

Jon Ifert

Jon Ifert has retired after a remarkable 50 years with Schramm. As a Technical Field Representative, Jon assisted countless customers in the field and in the office. His expertise in drill rigs and drill operating was widely regarded among Schramm personnel and customers.

Jon didn’t just answer customer questions. Instead, he was known for his ability to educate and help customers truly understand their equipment. He considers himself to be a lifelong student and enjoys learning new things. In his retirement, he plans to stay busy doing projects around the house, and pursuing other interests.

Jon isn’t the only member of the Ifert family to work for Schramm. His son Shawn worked for the company for 13 years and continues to be involved at the customer level, supplying product information from the field. Additionally, Shawn has contributed to company marketing campaigns, taking spectacular images of Schramm rigs in the field, as currently featured on the Schramm website. Schramm is indebted to the Ifert family for their important contributions to the company.

We will miss Jon’s knowledge, experience, and humility. We are tremendously grateful to have worked with you for so many years, and you have contributed greatly to the company. From all of us at Schramm, thank you for your many years of hard work, and enjoy your retirement!
